My story is about why Cronus ate his sons in order to stay in the highest power as king of the gods. Cronus married his sister Rhea and had six children, Hestia, Hades, Demeter, Hera, Poseidon and Zeus. Cronus ate the first five because he knew that if he did not eat them they would overthrow him.
Rhea gave Cronus a herb that made him throw up his sons when he ate it. Cronus ate the herb and then Zeus was born and he wanted to eat him but Rhea gave him a rock rapped in baby clothes to eat which tricked him. While Cronus had a rock in his stomach Zeus went to hide in a cave on Crete. Zeus was taken care of by nymphs and a fairy goat which spread food and liquid for him.
Zeus hid there until he was big and strong enough to overthrow his father. He got the goats hide to protect him and went to fight his father. Zeus also had the help of two titans who joined him and he deafeated his father.
